Who we are
Investment Club Zurich is a non-commercial student organisation affiliated with the University of Zurich and ETH Zurich. We operate this website for educational and informational purposes only. We can be reached at info@investmentclubzurich.ch.
What data we collect and why
When you voluntarily sign up for our newsletter or become a Community Member, we collect the information you submit in the form: email address, first name, last name, university, degree programme, expected graduation year, and your newsletter consent. If you choose "Other" as your university, we also collect the university name you enter. We use this information to manage the Community Member mailing list, send club updates, event information, opportunities, market insights, and investment research, and understand the student audience we are serving.
Community Member status
Community Member status is an informal mailing-list relationship and does not create a formal role, board position, analyst position, membership contract, payment obligation, or employment relationship with Investment Club Zurich.
Legal basis and consent
We process your submitted contact details on the basis of your consent, given when you submit the newsletter or Community Member form and agree to be added to our newsletter. You may withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing or by emailing us at info@investmentclubzurich.ch.
Who processes your data
Newsletter and Community Member emails are sent via Resend (Resend Inc., USA), our email delivery provider. Your submitted contact details are stored in Resend for the purpose of managing the mailing list and sending communications you requested. Our website is hosted by Vercel, which may process technical server log data needed to operate and secure the website. We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
International transfers
Because Resend and Vercel are service providers with operations outside Switzerland, your data may be processed in countries whose data protection laws differ from Swiss law. We use these providers only for the purposes described in this policy and rely on their contractual, organisational, and technical measures to protect the data they process for us.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics tools. No cookies that identify you personally are set. Our hosting provider Vercel may temporarily process standard server log data (such as anonymised IP addresses) for infrastructure and security purposes — this is not used to profile visitors.
How long we keep your data
We keep your submitted contact details for as long as you remain subscribed to our newsletter or Community Member mailing list, unless a longer retention period is required by law or needed to resolve a specific issue. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we will remove your contact details from the active mailing list within a reasonable period.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revDSG) and, where applicable, other data protection laws, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your data, or withdrawal of your consent. Data security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal data submitted through this website. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
